Tasted in March 2025. At least 8 years bottle age.
A golden colour and initially a vibrant bubbly character then settles quickly to a few delicate streams of bubbles.
Aromas are more towards stewed cooking apples, sea breeze, citrus, lemon pastry.
A touch tired in favours if I am honest, maybe longer bottle age was not in the mind for the wine-marker / producer. Though we still get deep Champagne characters to include pastry and citrus, I get more a mineral / saline expression with an faint pastry and apricot touch that increases in length. Close fades to leave minerals. It's an down, up and down tasting journey.
Charming to taste a longer bottle aged 2009 vintage, though would not be working too hard to seek another bottle anytime soon.
